About Me

Zoë Goetzmann is a London-based curator, writer, gallerist, and podcaster championing women, emerging, and mid-career artists. Her curatorial practice centres on accessible contemporary art, community engagement, and artist-led storytelling—bringing together diverse voices and perspectives to create exhibitions that foster meaningful dialogue between artwork and audience.

She is the founder and director of The Artist Workspace (AWS) Gallery, a women-led virtual platform supporting fine and digital artists internationally. Through AWS, Goetzmann develops programming that foregrounds inclusivity, experimentation, and cross-disciplinary exchange.

Goetzmann has collaborated with cultural partners including art’otel London Hoxton and Hypha Studios, and her writing on contemporary art has been featured in ArtsyCreate! MagazineFetch Magazine LondonCosimo Art, and The Art of Seeing Magazine. She is also a current staff writer for Create! Magazine, where she produces weekly artist interviews and editorial features.

Alongside her curatorial and writing practice, she is the host of the podcast Art World Women, now streaming on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where she amplifies the voices of women across the global art world.

Previously, Goetzmann served as a volunteer curatorial board member for Chromo-philia, an annual auction and benefit presented by Artspace New Haven in collaboration with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.

She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and an MA in Fashion Media Practice (Fashion Journalism) from Vogue College of Fashion.

Honoring the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.

In honoring the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, we are recognizing the immense influence that the Alberses’ teachings, writings, and practice have had on contemporary artists, including many artists living and working in our community. In addition, the Foundation itself has been generous in supporting cultural organizations in our area and has built a legacy of support over the past two decades in hosting an innovative residency for emerging international artists at their headquarters in Bethany.

“For as long as I can remember, a personal motto of mine has been, “if you can’t find a space in your [desired] industry, sometimes it is necessary to create your own.”

— Founder and Director, Zoë Goetzmann
